Senior Business Development Representative

  • Remote
    • Poznań, Poland
  • PLN 15,000 - PLN 18,500 per month
  • Sales

Job description

About us

You'll join our Sales Team as its senior hire, working directly alongside Nikola (Business Development Specialist) and in close collaboration with Błażej (Growth Lead), who also runs all things marketing at Appunite. You'll report to Błażej and,on larger strategic deals, loop in Karol, our CEO.

This is not a role where you inherit a tested playbook and execute it. We're in the middle of building one. You'll own a meaningful chunk of that work.

Seniority: Senior

Salary:

  • 15000 — 18500 PLN net/month B2B

  • 12550 — 15500 gross/month employee contract

What's the situation

Appunite has two things going on at once.

  • The first is our core business (team augmentation model): placing Elixir developers with SaaS companies, marketplaces, and e-commerce platforms that need to scale their engineering teams fast. We're good at this. We have clients who can vouch for it. But we want to open new revenue channels.

  • The second is a strategic bet we're making on a new offering - process-native software. The idea is straightforward: a growing number of companies are realizing that off-the-shelf SaaS tools weren't built for how they actually work. We build the alternative. This is an early-stage market, which means the conversations require education, conviction, and patience - not a product sheet.

Job requirements

What you'll be doing

Your primary territory is the top of the funnel and the early relationship. Concretely, that means:

  • Cold calling potential clients. This is a core skill for this role, particularly for getting process-native software conversations off the ground.

  • Face-to-face meetings with prospects at events (WiseBiznes, Impact, industry conferences) where relationship-building matters more than pitching.

  • Designing and running outbound campaigns — messaging, sequencing, and execution across email and LinkedIn. Nikola will support, but you own the strategy.

  • Leading discovery calls for new opportunities, particularly on the process-native software track. Nikola will shadow; over time, you'll help develop her skills further here.

  • Market education conversations — one-on-one with prospects who don't yet have the language for their own problem. This requires listening well and asking better questions than they expect.

  • Pain discovery and process mapping — understanding what's broken in a prospect's current SaaS setup before you say anything about what we build.

  • CRM hygiene and pipeline reporting — both of you own this. It's not glamorous, but it's how we know what's working.

  • Building the playbook — documenting what's working, what's not, and why, so that we don't start from scratch every six months. Błażej helps systematize it; you create the raw material.

  • Mentoring others in consultative selling — you're senior enough to help them grow.

  • Experience in fixed price sales models — we are implementing this type of contract, and we need someone who knows its limitations, necessary negotiations, etc.

  • Feeding insights back to marketing — what hooks land, what objections keep coming up, where prospects are in their decision process. This loop between field and content is something we want to genuinely run well.

You'll be a good fit if you

  • Have solid B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in IT services or consulting

  • Are comfortable picking up the phone — cold calling is part of the job, not an edge case

  • Know how to run a consultative discovery conversation without defaulting to a features pitch

  • Can design an outbound sequence, not just execute one someone else built

  • Are curious about why companies buy things — or don't

  • Can work independently without needing a manager to define what "done" looks like

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and see it as an opportunity rather than a blocker

  • Speak English at a C1 level — the most of our prospects are international

What we offer

  • A role with real ownership — you're not the fourth BDR on a team of twelve

  • Close collaboration with the Growth Lead and CEO on positioning and messaging

  • Budget for tools and learning

  • Honest, direct feedback culture — no performance theatre

  • Flexibility on hours and form of employment

  • Commission on closed deals (details shared during process)

Recruitment process

  1. Intro call with our Recruitment Team (~60 min)

  2. Skills and fit conversation with Nikola from the Sales Team (~60 min)

  3. Strategic fit conversation with Błażej, Growth Lead (~60 min)

  4. Decision — and if everything lines up, welcome on board

We don't currently have a recruitment task in the process, though we reserve the right to add one if the conversation calls for it.

A few things worth saying plainly: we don't expect you to know Elixir. We do expect you to get curious about it. And we don't want someone who needs a warm lead to feel confident — we want someone who can create warmth where there isn't any yet.
