Frontend Engineer

  • Remote
    • Poznań, Poland
  • PLN 14,000 - PLN 18,000 per month
  • React

Job description

Indoor agriculture is one of the most operationally complex industries you'll find. Tight environmental controls, regulatory requirements that vary state by state, and cultivation workflows where a bad data point can cost an entire harvest.

Our client is a management and technology company operating in this space — specifically cannabis cultivation. They've been building their platform since 2018, now supporting facilities across Washington, Illinois, and soon Maryland. The system touches everything: facility operations, compliance, and cultivation management across multiple sites simultaneously.

You'd be joining a small, distributed team with a track record of building real product under real constraints — not a prototype that's never seen production.

Salary:

  • 14 000,00 - 18 000,00 PLN net / monthly on B2B

About the role

This role goes beyond classic frontend work. You'll be expected to solve business problems — not just implement designs.

  • Defining requirements and presenting technical approaches to stakeholders, with concrete recommendations and trade-offs

  • Working with complex data structures: graphs, tables, charts — both in terms of processing and structural design

  • Building and maintaining interfaces in React with TanStack Query and MUI

  • Running topics end-to-end: from identifying a need, through defining requirements, to presenting technical and business solutions

  • Writing unit tests (Jest) and E2E tests (Playwright) — as part of the process, not an afterthought

  • Shaping how the team uses and adapts AI in the development workflow — this is an active, evolving area, not a checkbox

  • Stepping beyond the frontend where it makes sense — backend, CI/CD, product thinking

Our recruitment process is only 3 steps long

  1. Culture & mission fit — conversation with our Recruitment Team (~45 min)

  2. Competency interview — with team representatives (~60 min)

  3. Competency interview — with the client (~45–60 min)

If anything additional comes up, we'll let you know upfront.

Job requirements

  • Solid experience with React and server state management (TanStack Query or equivalent)

  • Hands-on knowledge of MUI or another component library

  • Testing as a habit: Jest (unit) + Playwright (E2E)

  • Basic understanding of backend concepts: REST API, relational databases

  • Comfort working with data-heavy UIs — graphs, charts, complex table structures

  • Documented examples of autonomous initiatives — where you started from a stakeholder need, gathered data independently, shaped options, and led the discussion to a decision

  • Communication skills that make a technical conversation with business stakeholders actually work — not just with other developers

Nice to have

  • Zustand, Node.js (Express), Firebase, PostgreSQL, Prisma

  • Experience working at the intersection of frontend and other areas (DevOps, AI, product)

This role might not be the right fit if...

...you haven't had an experience where you independently gathered data from a stakeholder, developed possible approaches, and iteratively led the conversation to a decision. We're looking for someone who was the connector between problem and solution — not an executor of a ready-made ticket.
